I just love answering these guitar course questions. Here’s another:
Question: Are There Usually Two Guitar Players in a Band? and then the Bass and Drums..and Vocals of Course?
Answer: The usual composition of a four-piece band these days is a bass, guitar, keyboard, and drums.
With the software available today the drummer can sometimes be replaced with a drum machine and the keyboard player will be able to cover for horns, string, and even some vocals through his keyboard.
There are no firm rules. If you have a band member who plays a hot saxaphone, you can make your arrangements around that.
One of the reasons why a band is usually limited to four is that more members mean less pay. The band gets paid the same, but cuts that pay more ways. Another reason is how hard it is to get more people to agree to anything.
Haven’t you ever played RockBand 1 guitar, 1 bass, 1 drummer, and vocals thats it duhhh
One guitar or two, both have their advantages.
2 guitars presents a fuller, often more intricate sound.
1 guitar has the focus and precision that might be lacking in 2 guitarists trying to coordinate.
depends, if your playing heavy stuff you may need a rythym guitarist to back up the lead.
There’s really no set rule. You can have two or even more guitars. But one guitar and one bass is usually enough.
alot of times there are two guitarists, a lead gitarist and a rythm guitarist
